COPCITY - The Atlanta Police Training Facility
Atlanta City Council voted 10 to 4 in 2021 to lease much of the South River Forest to the Atlanta Police Foundation. Madeline Thigpen says plenty of people voiced concerns about what would become known as COPCITY, well before any construction equipment was rolled in. The original vote had to be postponed because there was a significant amount of public opposition.
