The Anglo Saxon Migration
Genetics indicates 74% of the population were migrants or related t migrants, rather than individuals. Early anglo saxon cemeteries contain a mixture of people with different biological associations. So i'm not sure they ever thought of themselves as a distinct ethnic community that might be referred to in that way. We sot of merging culture and material and time and art and ethenicity on to one thing, and never being distinct enough about it.
