Is This a Problem When You're Teaching Stats?

Lyon: I think everyone who does statistics kind of knows that this is a problem, but we kind of kind of push it under the rug. When you teach stats, you've kind of experience the confusion that students have over this. And i think the confusion about the these different types of probabilities and the roles that probability play in this kind of intral inferential framework are very similar to what people are experiencing now. Lyon: You can see exactly the same confusion 300 years ago that people are experienced now. It really does carry through to modern day statistics.
