I started lucid dreaming between the ages of 21 and 25. This is not something I sought out or intentionally tried to do. It began one night when I had a dream that I was in a grocery store. To see if I was dreaming or not, I initiated the jump test. If it was a dream, I would tell myself I'd be able to fly. And in each instance that I tried this test, it worked. For years, this continued.
