House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's Response to the January 6th Insurrection
Richard Barnett was convicted in January on eight charges including theft of government property and entering a restricted building or grounds with a deadly or dangerous weapon. His lawyers argued the retired firefighter and bull rider from Arkansas came to Washington for the first time to peacefully protest. They say he was caught up in the events that took place on January 6th, but the judge disagreed with that version of events,. sentencing Barnett to 54 months behind bars for his actions that day.
