When someone is hospitalized or sent to the emergency room for non-suicidal self-injury, we have moved the person in front of us to a problem to solve. What we want to do is hospitalize clients only as the last resort. We're at that dangerous level of skill attainment when it comes to intervening here. It's not just like okay, you've got your safety plan. I'll see you next week. This is that increasing the contact with the clients.
