The Importance of Listening to Your Trader
In the movie, Bob Las Indrilo traded in live cattle futures. He didn't want a cow but wanted to make a bet on the future prices of cows. The traders just hold the contract for just a few minutes or a few days. Enough time to make a little money. But before the contract expires and the actual good has to be delivered, that trader needs to unload the contract. Needs to sell to someone who actually wants the thing underneath it.
