The Problem With Taiwan's Free Market

We have to find a way to protect Taiwan, even if it's selfish. There are ninth leading trading partners in allenation. We recognize Taiwan as legitimate China until the 1970s. And we say, OK, but just recognize Taiwan's autonomy. That's fine until now. Now they see vulnerability because of the weakness. It's not even a bad policy. The president doesn't speak. The State Department doesn't act. We don't know what's going on. More people in Congress taking action than we do with the White House.
