The Trade-Off Between Inflation Beta and Sharp Ratio
There is actually a tradeoff between, you know, buying assets that had against inflation and the long term resadjusted return. So things that are very sensitive to inflation, such as energy, will run very high on this metric. The S&P 500 index has almost like a zero sharp ratio, because they tend to be so bomb and bust over the long run.
