Chaucer Exonerated of Rape

There is a strong likelihood that this one case was not about rape. And that obviously doesn't mean that Chaucer wasn't a rapist. What we can say is this one incident, we think it, it looks to be much more focused on the labor dispute. We want to open up ideas about what medieval labor contracts looked like social and legal. How do we think about his writings on labor and peasants and in the context of the peasants revolt and the statute of laborers?
