I think sometimes when we write about our lives, we shield a lot. I wasn't really scared to. But in terms of the general public and people who might not like parts of it or might judge me or might not like me, that's one thing that I'm not afraid of. It did release something, it'll release some pressure and freed me up to write more honestly. Because there's a lot in this book that I just couldn't imagine him, couldn't bear the thought of him reading. The dedication says like, you know, mom, maybe skip chapter nine and then dad, if you're up there, you too.
