The only time you have an absolute right to testify in the grand jury if you're a defendant is after being charged with a complaint. You don't give defendants that opportunity if you're going straight to the grand jury because there's no requirement or duty to notify him But I am sure alvin bragged a da notified him here and gave him that opportunity Just to eliminate that tiny small legal argument that he could make Saying well, I would have wanted to testify So it's just a way of eliminating a legal argument that you know, we know he likes to argue crazy things.
