Clifford clinton moved to los angeles in 1931 along with his wife nilda and their three children He used them to start a new kind of cafeteria on 618 olive street in downtown los angeles. It served 10,000 free meals in its first 90 days. Author ray bradbury is said to have taken advantage of the policy at clifford's cafeteria that quote no guests need go hungry for lack of funds.
