When chat GPT was first released, it was relatively unbiased. People undoubtedly within open AI started putting guard rails in place so that it wouldn't say anything racist, sexist or homophobic and even anything conservative. As each user is responding to the resulting essays they're teaching the machine what is and isn't correct. So I imagine a lot of left users have been complaining. It's only going to go more in that direction.
