The File Drawer Effect

The file drawer effect is also known as basically that papers that don't show something new are filed away in a drawer for no one to see. Bishop goes on to say that experiments that don't prove something new are often called failed experiments, which I'm sure we're all guilty of having thought before. If an experiment is done correctly, even if it doesn't like show what you wanted, it's still providing evidence. And more evidence is never a bad thing.
