Gary Ridgway's Sample Is Fine
In 2001, 14 years after Ridgway gave his sample, the last remaining detective on the Green River case went all in on new DNA technology. Patty Eakes has long since graduated law school, and joined the King County prosecutor's office. I talked to Patty about the arrest of the Green River killer, and what happened next for her. However, the amount of biological sample recovered from the bodies found by the Green River is very limited,. perhaps only enough for one go at processing the DNA.
