The Name Omri in the Book of the Kings of Israel

Omri was not a Hebrew name, but it does match some names close to Omri or Omri themselves that are mentioned in some Phoenician name list. So there's a good chance that he was from of a Phoenician background. He is buried in Shomeron in Samaria. And then Ahab, you probably recognize that guy's name, Ahab, his son reigned in his place.
