Introduction

Antir tibialis tendon ruptures are traumatic anterior ankle injuries that can present with foot drop and impaired gait. Diagnosis is made clinically with the presence of a painless mass at the anterior medial aspect of the ankle associated with weakness of dorsiflexion. Antir tibials tend to be more common in older patients, while strong eccentric contraction is more common in younger patients. As far as prognosis, it is good with treatment.
