The Hero's Story

Jim Sanders was initially pragmatic about his home being invaded and ransacked. He knew that if he just kept his mouth shut, the robbers would depart. But when they began beating his children, he was overcome by a burning rage. In any other circumstances, Jim would have known better than to rush a man with a loaded pistol trained on him. The gunman stepped back, aimed, and put three bullets into Jim's body before he even got within six feet of him. For Charlene Sanders, it was the single worst moment of her entire life.
