The Advantages of Two Photon Excitation

Using longer wave lengths of light, you can penetrate that light deeper into the tissue. Two photon excitation allows us to be less prone to scattering. It also generates something called optical sectioning. This is a way that we can now target individual nurons in awake, behaving animals. We can use two photon excitation of opsins to target those cells. And and i imagine we're going to come to this. You can combine these things. I'll just maybe leave this as a teaser.
