The Relationship Between Holidays, Sexual Appetite, and Mood

This chapter discusses a study that analyzed Google searches for sex as a proxy for sexual appetite and found that different countries have varying levels of interest in sexual content. Culturally Christian and Muslim countries exhibit similar patterns of sexual interest around their respective holidays, with an increase in sexual appetite around Christmas and at the end of Ramadan, respectively.
