What Is the Backdrop to All This?
The treasury is very much saying, we are not going to give more furlough support, or more grants or loans to the hospitality sector. Do you see that budging? And what do you make of that decision? We were expecting a rate rise last month and it didn't happen. Why do you think the montry policy committe at the bank of england decided to do it now? And what dos it to say about where the economy is heading? I certainly see it budging, at least at the margin. But we won't talk about furlo in the meantime.
