How to Choose the Right Dividend Paying Stocks

Of the 30 or so stocks on the Dow Jones industrial average, only a handful are paying more than you can get by being in a money market fund. Those companies I just mentioned have horrible way too high valuations. McDonald's has a forward price per earnings ratio optimistically at at least 24 times. Look at some of the big high quality dividend paying stocks that people consider to be very defensive and recession proof.
