The peasants revolt took place in june 13 81. It began with a poll tax of twelvepence per adult introduced, being the third pol tax in four years. The most famous factions were the essex insurgents and the kent insurgents. Both parties marched on london and went by canterbury, but also rochester castle. They stormed fleet prison, the round church and various wealthy s. And then there was a bit of a killing spree until Richard rode out to quell it.
