Buddhism says we can try to work with our own emotional reaction to frustrating circumstances. Paul: What's the balance between dealing with something in yourself, working with your own mind, then at the same time trying to reach out to the other person and have a conversation about it? Murray: My tendency when I think about the Buddhist approach of dealing with it is that I have to completely handle it in my own mind and not bring it into the relationship at all.
