Sedative Oxidromes and Pupilary Changes

Sedative toxidromes are due to a few different classes of drugs and their relevant mechanisms of action. Opiates produce that classic meiosis, pinpoint pupils, when you're doing that patient assessment. GHB generally doesn't result in any pupillary changes, but can get pupillary dilation in really large doses. And then finally, the third class of drugs that we should be thinking about are the benzodiazepines and the barbiturates.
