The US and China's Relationship With China

There was a hope there was a hope 20 years ago that the way that relationship would evolve is that there would be economic relations and those would benefit both countries. But that divergence grew radically when President Xi came into office he has sent China on a course that's far more aggressive, far more ambitious, far more expansionist and far more threatening to America's role in the world. And he's establishing that vision which will I suspect live on after he's gone but he won't be gone for quite some time.
