The Heart: A Symbol of Love and Connection
The heart is pervasive throughout our society, beginning probably again in the 13 to 1400s. The symbol has come to mean much more - it's now a verb. We have bumper stickers with I love my corky and video games that show how many lives you have left. Metaphorically, we associate the heart with love, connection to one another,. And you have done for hundreds of years. So, well, physiologically, we view the heart today is nothing more than a pump in our society.
