Fortnite Dark Patterns
The FTC just finalized an order. They required the makers of Fortnite, the Epic Games folks to pay $245 million for tricking users into making unwanted charges. In gaming, a lot of the dark patterns will be like, let's say, you're playing a game and you want to buy some coins to use in that game. The one they really want you to choose is already highlighted. It's there. And it's the one with the most coins and the biggest profit. So not sure how we get around that one, but it certainly wanted to keep an eye on. All right.
