Posturor Laboral Tars - What Is a Kim Test?
A kim test is performed by having the patient seated, the arm at 90 degrees of abduction. This is 97% sensitive for posteror laboral tars when combined with a posterior stress test. With a posterior directed force, pain is elicited often, but this is not a specific finding. In terms of a posturor load and shift test, you will place the patient supine with the arm in neutral, with forty to 60 degrees of abduction and forward action. And then you will load the humeral head and apply anterior and posteror translating forces, noting sublexation. An axillary lateral is the best view to demonstrate a dislocation.
