The Inequality of Socialism in the Soviet Union
The degree of social injustice and torture in a place like Russia is of a different order of magnitude than it is in those western countries where most of us have grown up. Where do you have the greatest degree of inequality in the socialist states of the world? I remember about 15 years ago, my wife and I were in Russia for a couple of weeks. We met there a marvelous man, a man by the name of Edward Lipinski, who was in this country a year ago at the age of 83 or 4. He said socialism will be practical when every man in Poland has a house and two service. And I said to him, including servants, and he said yes.
