The PDPA's Ambition to Reform Afghanistan
Taraki and his allies were very aware of the kind of tricky, not only national, but international circumstances into which they were stepping into power. In a radio broadcast fairly shortly after the coup, Taraki does lay out the sort of vision or this program for what he wants to accomplish within Afghanistan. It doesn't really get framed in terms of I suppose kind of socialist intentions very explicitly until I think some months later.
