In Genesis, Jacob is told by his mother that if he doesn't get the goats for her she will curse him. He goes out and gets them but then realizes something isn't right about what's happening to him. His father asks how it could have happened so quickly: "I don't care how good a hunter you are" The son decides to lie in an attempt to cover himself with God's blessing.
