Introduction

This week's episode of the platium podcast is about how to save science. One of the big central features of modernity was a this idea of science. Science seems to be closely related to vast explosion in useful knowledge and industrial capability. But that getscombined with an explosion in economic activity which doesn't actually rely on it. And so we wanted to kind of understand what it was that was actually working in modernity, and how that might be saved or disconnected from the current order.
