The first chairman of a british rail to really kind of try n grasp the nettle and understand the importance of having a public relationship with the public was sir peter parker. He insured that his successor, er robert reedd, who was only a bit more hard nosed than peter parkerd, but he managed to get rid of the old reginal structure and the regional structure. And under particularly forward looking leaders like chris greens another hero in my book, the scotwaa network south east and later inte city network southeast were transformed and given an identity.
