Astrology and the Emergence of Black Death
Early explanations of the great mortality of the late 13 forties spoke of a particular conjunction of planets that took place in the sign of aquarius. This had a dramatic effect on the earthly environment and resulted in emissions of noxious air. So there's the connection, sit as an idea that something happens with the planets, it results in corrupt air or miasma, and that causes illness. But elmer suggests that if you dig a little deeper, they're not so strange after all.
