Is That Kind of Like a Cancellation Token?
The metaphor as you're given when I'm talking about this is roughly speaking, there's two bits of a shadow. There's like the big solid bit in the middle and then a gray shadowy vague bit around the outside. That's the ombre. And that's the bit I want to make the most of. The first is given my state object for this loop, like how to turn the old one into the new one by whatever. Then the other one is check the world state and based on these criteria, has the game ended yet? But at least there's only one. It's totally a hidden while loop.
