He tells police that he finds Robert laying on the bed, and he lifts up his shirt to see that he's covered in blood. He makes it a point of saying to the police that he found the knife on Robert's stomach and then moved it to the nightstand where the crime scene text would find it later. More specifically, he says something along the lines of, well, I handled the knife, so it's probably going to have my DNA on it,. But it probably wouldn't have a killer's DNA on it because I'm sure, like, a killer would have worn gloves. So, expect to find mine, but no one else's.
