Validating Problems Before Designing Solutions

In consulting, you get hired in to do something. And that thing to be done is already decided because that's why they've contacted someone to bring you in. So it's sometimes a bit of a luxury to have that ability to question and validate from day one. Usually you can't, as Jeremy said when we talked about that, you've got an existing thing. There's an existing website, an existing app, an existing business model. It's not day zero, every time you turn up.
