The Bayo Tapestry Isn't the Most Amazing Piece of Art

The baye does seem to be mentioned in the bayo tapestry itself, and the oath scene seems to be at bayo. I think its format meant that it was really meant as a display piece. And i can certainly see it being displayed in various of these halls where the normans had established themselves throughout england. The very practical suggestion that it was meant for the great hall of these new castles that were going up at great speed all over england cannot be ignored.
