Lydia is too old to hunt now, but she still enjoys roaming across the estate. She keeps hern close to the ground, sniffing everything she sees. Hadrian watches with amusement, noticing how she's fascinated by ordinary patches of grass. As well as offering loyal companionship and unconditional love, they also remind him to take pleasure in the more ordinary things in life. The buildings and art works of the villa are beautiful, but so is this simple lawn.
