Poaching is estimated to be responsible for the deaths of 10% of elephant population every year. One elephant can be up to the same amount they would get for a whole year of labour. Efforts from people like Craig to stop poachers in Kenya have been so successful recently that elephant numbers have started going up in the country. But it isn't true in most places.
