Cocktail Number Six: The Singapore Sling Cocktail
The Singapore sling is universally agreed to have been invented in 1915. It was created by Nyam Tong Boon, a bartender at the famous Raffles Hotel. He wanted to create a drink for women who didn't want people to know they were drinking alcohol - so he made one that looked like fruit juice. The cocktail has since become hugely popular all over the world.
