Even in part one, you get the sense of, like, he knows about that plan. He overhears the conversation with his mother and charlotte rampling's character. But it's even further complicated because even in the context of that plan, he doesn't exactly fit into it. It's not a perfect fit. Even if he was, they try to design the chosen one. They sort of like stumbled and feeled a little bit. Likei this planet's been running for like, ages, or even millennia.
