Domain Driven Design - The Obscure Language
The ubiquitous language in many ways is the keystone of domain driven design. To understand what terms and terminology are used by the business side of your organization, by the user or software, it involves having to talk to people. A developer working on that code base will be a better domain expert if they can have conversations with people outside their development team. This is partly about aiding communication but also part about building empathy.
