Powell used himself as the model in his catalogues. But on the inside, j l Powell was in deep financial trouble. An investment group came in infusing more than two and a half million dollars ino the company. And then they followed that up with several more loans to powell, totaling more than one point four million dollars, before firing him from his own company.
