The History of Cathedrals
The idea of boy chorister dates from the fifteenth century. Henry the eighth thought it would be a good for cathedrals to look after the elderly and poor. Since 19 nineties, when salisbury introduced girl choristers, that has spread to nearly every cathedral. Now they provide education.
