The President of Taiwan Transits Through the United States

Speaker McCarthy met with the president of Taiwan. This is always a little bit of the carve out as we continue to maintain the one China policy. The Chinese are never happy about this, never have been and so you're seeing a lot of bluster coming from China. We need to find ways to find some common ground with them but right now, the best thing to do is to deter them.
