Action Figures - Halo, Aureole, Nimbus

The ora is an emanation of light, like a glow coming from behind the head. A full bodyd glow is sometimes characterized as a halo or aureole or nimbus. People often claim to be able to see some kind of aura around human bodies and sometimes around other objects. So i wonder if this modern belief in oras could be related to the origins of religious belief in the halo, the glory, the melom, the sun disk, crown, et cetera.
