Women in Sport Power List - Women in Girls Surf Club

Malala Yusuf Sai joined us on Women's Hour earlier this week. Malala was just 12 years old when she began speaking out against the Taliban in her home country of Pakistan. She has continued to fight for the educational rights of girls and women across the globe, receiving the Nobel Peace Prize for her activism as just 17. And now at 25 she's taking on Hollywood, most recently as executive producer of Stranger at the Gate - a documentary nominated for Best Documentary Short Film. Anne will learn more about Big Mama Thornton who wrote songs for Elvis Presley but his legacy is rarely recognised today.
